Monte Malone Gambol

1964-2020

Mr. Monte Malone Gambol, 55, of Bastrop, formerly of Snyder, died at his home on Saturday, May 16, 2020.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Mr. Andy Semer officiating.

Monte was born on Sept. 25, 1964, in Amarillo to  Howard LaRue and Sharon (Simmons) Gambol. He married Gailene Baker on July 9, 1988, in Big Spring. Monte worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for 25 years and retired in December of 2014. Monte loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing. He enjoyed playing golf and barbecues with friends and family. He was a member of the 1983 AAAA State Championship baseball team from Snyder. He was Ryan and Dillon's Little League baseball coach and there were very few seasons that they didn't take home the championship trophy. He was known by their friends as their favorite coach. Monte had a great sense of humor and a quick wit, always being funny. He was also very intelligent. He was easy to talk to and never met a stranger. But above all he loved his wife, his two sons and a multitude of friends. He will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ryan Zane Gambol and Dillon Quade LeeRue Gambol; his mother, Sharon Wadley; two brothers, Rick Gambol and Daniel Gambol; and two sisters, Shayna Walker Acuff and Jennifer Walker Bell.

Kimberly "Kim" Sue Pendergrass

1959-2020

Kimberly "Kim" Sue Pendergrass, 61, died Sunday, May 17, 2020.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Pendergrass was born on March 14, 1959, in Brownfield to Glenn and Sue (Ammons) Howard. She married Jimmy Pendergrass on April 14, 1978, in Brownfield. She was a loving Grand Mommy, who loved her grandchildren and dogs, She was a librarian for the Ira ISD for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marvin and Jean Pendergrass; and by her sister-in-law, Linda Pendergrass.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Suzie Huddleston and husband, Bobby, of Snyder; two granddaughters, Emily and Kadence Huddleston of Snyder; her mother; two brothers, Marshall Howard and wife, Brenda, of Slaton and Josh Howard and wife, Leigh, of Lantana; three nephews, Austin Howard and wife, Britni, of Lubbock, Ashton Howard of Slaton and Cooper Howard of Lantana.
