Marie Brock
1927-2016
Marie Joan Brock, 88, of Sweetwater, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Sweetwater Health Care Center.
A private graveside service for Mrs. Brock was held Wednesday at Sweetwater Cemtery. The service was under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the home of Terri and Billy Brock, 4603 El Paso Ave., in Snyder.
Born on July 3, 1927 in San Angelo, she married Don L. Brock on Oct. 1, 1954 in Lovington, N.M. She was a member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church in Sweetwater. She worked for, and retired from, Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 30 years. She a lifelong resident of Sweetwater.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Brock, on April 7, 2014, two brothers, Frank Rousseau and Joe Rousseau, and her parents, Frank and Bessie Rousseau.
Survivors include one son, Billy Brock and his wife, Terri, of Snyder; two granddaughters, Dondi Cook and her husband, Darrell, and Katelee Marie Brock, all of Snyder; and two great-grandsons, Gauge Cook and Ryder Cook, both of Snyder.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sweetwater Health Care Center.

Norman Craig
1925-2016
Norman Lee Craig, 90, of St. Charles, Mo., died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in St. Charles.
Funeral service for Mr. Craig will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Baue Funeral Home Chapel in Cave Springs, Mo. Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born on Aug. 12, 1925 in Mount Hope, Ala. Norman proudly served his country in the United States Navy in World War II. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a proud retiree of McDonnell Douglas, where he worked on the Gemini Project and was honored with his name being placed on a plaque at Cape Canaveral. Most of all, Norman loved being with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was the loving husband of the late Geneva Roden Craig and the beloved son of the late James and Geneva Craig. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Craig Campana; his siblings, Neomi Oliver, Viola Taylor, Anne Craig, Luttie Craig, Charlie Craig, Olin Craig, Martin Craig and Burl Craig; his son-in-law, Eddie Lewis; and his daughter-in-law, Christina Craig.
Survivors include his children, Wanda Allen and her husband, Bobby, Linda Campana and her husband, Stephen, Jerry Craig, Jacquelyn Lewis, Timothy Craig and his wife, Cindi, and Teddy Craig and his wife, Helen; his cherished grandchildren, Bobby, Sunday, Joseph “Kip,” Kristie, Katie, Jason, Michael, Morgan, Sarah, Timmy and Stephanie; and his 19 treasured great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

Robert Hagins
1934-2016
Robert E. Hagins, 81, of Blanket and formerly of Snyder, died Monday, May 23, 2016 in Dallas.
Funeral service for Mr. Hagins will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early. Burial will follow at Salt Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Hagins was born in Jayton on Sept. 19, 1934 to Joe and Hazel Hagins. Robert attended Snyder schools and graduated from Snyder High School in 1954. He was employed by the Texas Railroad Commission for 26 years until the time of his death. He married Bonnie Hagins in Weatherford in 1980.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2012, his parents and one brother.   
Survivors include two sons, Kerry Hagins and his wife, Rita, and Terry Hagins and his wife, Mary, all of Snyder; one daughter, Teresa Lindsey of Snyder; one brother, Bernie Hagins and his wife, Lois, of Glen Rose; one sister, Sammie Kingston and her husband, Bill, of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and two special puppies, Sugar and JJ.

Juanita Rocha
1931-2016
Juanita Rocha, 85, of Snyder, died Monday, May 23, 2016 in Post.
Funeral service for Mrs. Rocha will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hermleigh Cemetery under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born on March 31, 1931 in Austin to Jose and Lorenza (Lozano) Martinez, she married Luis Rocha. She enjoyed collecting trinkets and sewing. She kept active by mowing lawns and loved to dance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Agapita Fuentes; five brothers, Seferino Martinez, Cecelia Martinez, Sandy Martinez, Julian Martinez and Frank Martinez; one son, Luis Rocha Jr.; and one daughter, Mary Ann Ferguson.
Survivors include four sons,  Julian Rocha of Palacios, Raul Rocha of Alvin, Jose Antonio Rocha of El Campo and Robert Rocha of Texas City; one daughter, Rosemary Rocha Gomez of Fla.; one sister, Pauline Martinez of Post; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Nona Sheets
1934-2016
Nona (Harlan) Sheets went home to be with her Savior on May 15, 2016.  She ended her 81 years on this earth surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Emmaus Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Okla. with the Rev. Jim Lehew officiating. A private family graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee, Okla. with the Rev. Ben Reid officiating. The services will be under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Nona was born on June 14, 1934 in Ardmore, Okla. to Ruby and Jesse (Chandler) Harlan. She grew up in Ardmore, Clarksville, Ark. and Oklahoma City, where she graduated from Central High School in 1952. After attending Central State University in Edmond, Okla., she married and had two children.
Nona worked as an oil and gas title analyst at First National Bank in Oklahoma City and at Trust Company of Oklahoma until her retirement. Nona lived in Moore, Okla. for 51 years and was a faithful member of Emmaus Baptist Church and recently the First Baptist Church of Snyder.
Nona will be missed by her family and remembered most for her sacrificial love. 
She is survived by her son, Mark Sheets of Dallas; her daughter, Sheila Reid of Snyder; her son-in-law, Ben Reid of Snyder; her granddaughter, Natalie Reid of Snyder; and one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Ellouise Harlan of McLoud, Okla.

Arnold Taylor
1949-2016
Arnold Taylor, 67, of Midland, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Miller Family Funeral Home.

Joseph White
1954-2016
Joseph W. White, also known as “JW” and “Lazy J,” 61, of Monroe, La. and formerly of Snyder, passed away at his camp at Felsenthal Campground in Strong, Ark.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels in El Dorado, Ark.
Mr. White was born on Dec. 11, 1954 to the late Robert Lee White Sr. and Zella Gibbs White. He was a fun-loving man, never getting in a hurry for anything. He was a truck driver for more than 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two children, Chris White and Amanda White Stewart, both of Monroe, La.; two grandchildren, Taylor and Micah White; three brothers, Butch White, Bobby White and  Larry White; two sisters, Rebecca Haney and Diane Callaway; and numerous nieces and nephews.
