Laquita ‘Ruth’ Cox
1946-2019
Laquita ‘Ruth’ Odell Cox, 73, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019.
Private funeral service will be held at a later date.
A visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 at Miller Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cox was born March 26, 1946 in Lubbock to Hallie and Retha (Shaw) Leatherwood. She married Jimmy Cox on June 8, 1962 in New Deal. Ruth enjoyed cooking, watching westerns and working cattle. Above all, her passion was being an amazing wife to an amazing husband. He died in 2018.
She is also preceded in death by parents and a sister, Bernice Evans.
She is survived by two sons, Tony Cox and his wife, Sharla, of Lubbock and Tim Cox and his wife, Johnette, of Snyder; a daughter, Tisha Flotte of Alamogordo, N.M.; a sister, Sugar Russell and her husband, John, of Lubbock; two brothers, Gene Leatherwood of Lubbock and Ray Leatherwood and his wife, Joann; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

James Quinnley Jr, 85, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019. Arrangements are pending at Miller Family Funeral Home.

Hilda Rangel
1953-2019
Hilda Rangel, 66, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2019.
Funeral service for Mrs. Rangel will be Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church with Pastor Bert Gusman officiating. Burial will follow in the Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home. 
A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Rangel was born Jan. 27, 1953 in Robertson to Nicholas and Guadalupe (Cisneros) Soliz. She married John Rangel on Sept. 15, 1973 in Lubbock. 
Hilda enjoyed helping people at the Gentle Dove Ministries and Noah’s Attic and The Blessing Thrift Store.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Angie Ramos.
She is survived by her husband, John, of Snyder; two sons, Michael Rangel and his wife, Maria, of Snyder, and Mark Rangel of Snyder; five sisters, Elmira Collins of Sweetwater, Nicholasa Barber of Colorado City, Mary Sharer of Maryneal, Aurora Rangel of Roscoe and Elmira Collins of Sweetwater; two brothers, Roy Soliz and Lupe Soliz, both of Sweetwater; three granddaughters, Vivian Rangel, Makayla Rangel and Hannah Rangel, all of Snyder; three grandsons, Brayden Rangel, Marc Anthony Rangel and Mausrick Rangel, all of California; and father -and-mother-in-law, Lorenzo and Louisa Rangel of Roscoe.
