Glenna Gay Bane

1932-2020

Mrs. Glenna Gay Bane, 88, of Snyder died at her home on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, surrounded by her family.

Viewing was held from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Snyder Cemetery.

Glenna was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Scurry County to James Weldon and Willie Earlene (Woolever) Bills. She married C.C. Bane in 1951. 

Glenna held many jobs supporting her four children, but loved her time as a florist most. Country music, her garden, rodeo and dancing were her all-time favorites. Her pie recipes were well known and loved by family and friends.

Glenna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Chuck Bane; and her sister, Jayme Roemisch.

Survivors include her sister, Welda Kay McHaney of Snyder; her brother, Darrel Bills and his wife, Susan, of Snyder; her daughter, Gaylan Mason and her husband, Jeff, of Snyder; her son, Eddie Bane and his wife, Penny, of Midland; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Bane of Midland; her son, Delwin “Bob” Bane of Midland; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Jodi, Janie, Julie and Namoi for their love, care and dedication to Glenna.

1939-2020

Helen Mixon Koonce Molano, 81, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, at her home in Snyder.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Restland Cemetery in Olney with Ted Murphree officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home immediately prior to the graveside service. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Helen was born on May 5, 1939, in Woodson to the late J.R. Mixon and Velma Lois (Walker) Mixon. She moved to Snyder in 1967 from Graham and was a secretary for Snyder Well Service until her retirement. Helen loved bowling and was a member of both the Graham and Snyder bowling leagues. She also loved shopping on the TV shopping channels, and looked for those “Blue Light Specials.” She was a member of the Neighborhood Watchdog group in Snyder. She married Tommy Koonce on July 17, 1957, in Holiday. She later married Rick Molano Jr. on Oct. 25, 1980.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 4, 2017; by an infant son; and by two brothers, Donald James Mixon and Charles Eugene Mixon.

Helen is survived by one son, David Koonce and wife, Donna, of Snyder; one daughter, LaRhonda Moore and husband, Charley, of Rising Star; three grandchildren, A’Lex Koonce-Lutz and husband, Trever, of Snyder, Kara Smith and husband, Nathan, of May and Tana Isbell and husband, Ben, of Windsor, Colo.; and five great grandchildren, Kelton Smith, McKenna Smith, Sawyer Smith, Carson Isbell and Hudson Isbell.

 1948-2020

 Raymond Ramirez Rodriguez, 72, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, in Lubbock.

 A rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday, and funeral services were held at 10 p.m. Saturday, both at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel.

 Mr. Rodriguez was born on July 18, 1948, in Knippa to Ismael and Anita (Ramirez) Rodriguez. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He loved being around his family and playing drums. He also enjoyed DJing and going fishing and camping. He loved the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Rodriguez and Moses Rodriguez; and his sister, Ophelia Hernandez.

Survivors include his son, Carlos Rodriguez and his wife, Brenda, of Snyder; four daughters, Olga Constancio and her husband, Don, of Snyder, Bonnie Rodriguez of San Antonio, Leslie Rodriguez of San Antonio and Monica Rodriguez of Amarillo; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Gilbert Rodriguez of Hereford.
