Jose Luis Hernandez III

1954-2020

Mr. Jose Luis Hernandez III of Snyder died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, in Lubbock.

Services for Mr. Hernandez will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Alfonso Rodriguez from Spanish Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday from 6pm-7pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Hernandez was born on Dec. 11, 1954, in Snyder to Mr. Jose E. Hernandez II and Mrs. Virginia A. Hernandez. On Oct. 19, 1985, he married Corina Hernandez in Snyder. Joe was well known for his funny sense of humor along with his endless joke telling. His passions were dancing, music and storytelling. He always carried a smile while wearing his cowboy hat and cowboy boots. He loved his family and he especially took great pride in his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his granddaughter, Alexandria Mays.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Jeanette Sustaita and husband, Sammy, of San Antonio, Carrie Gaona, Naqueta "Niki" Hernandez and Natasha Mays and husband, James, all of Snyder; two sons, Joey Sosa of San Antonio and Alfredo Hernandez of Snyder; two brothers, George Hernandez and wife, Bridgette, of Lovington, N.M., and Ralph Hernandez and wife, Linda, of Snyder; his sister, Virginia Rodriguez and husband, Alfonso, of Snyder; 12 grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

Maria Torres Hernandes

1961-2020

Mrs. Maria Torres Hernandes, 59, of Ira died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, in Lubbock.

A prayer service was held at  Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, with Deacon Jose Torres from Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church officiating, followed by a rosary service.

Mrs. Hernandes was born on July 6, 1961, in La Gloria Guanjuanto, Mexico, to Manuel and Ma Del Socorro (Hernandes) Torres. She married Juan Ornelas Jan. 8, 2010, in Sauz De Armenta, Mexico.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mariana Ornelas and Raquel Padilla; five sons, Juan Pablo Ornelas, Angel Ornelas, Eugenio Ornelas, David Ornelas and Moises Ornelas; his mother and father; three sisters, Manuela Torres, Clara Torres and Graciela Torres; and two brothers, Armando Torres and Francisco Torres.

Charles "Chuck" Greene

1953-2020

Mr. Charles "Chuck" Greene, 67, of Snyder died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, at Midland Memorial Hospital.

Services are pending with Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
