Jason Forrester
1983-2018
Jason Price Forrester, 35, of Odessa, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 in Odessa.
Funeral service for Mr. Forrester will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Barbara McCormick
1940-2018
Barbara Marie Taylor McCormick, 78, of Kerrville, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018.
A memorial service for Mrs. McCormick will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at East Side Church of Christ. The service will be under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.

Gladys McGuire
1920-2018
Gladys Marie (Stingley) McGuire, 97, of Snyder and formerly of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018.  
Graveside service for Mrs. McGuire will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Aikin Grove Cemetery with the Rev. James Brown officiating. The service will be under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McGuire was born on Oct. 4, 1920 in Wellston, Okla. to Herbert and Susie (Davis) Stingley. She married Shealith Clark in 1938. She married Malcolm E. McGuire in 1947 in Odessa. Both preceded her in death.  
She was elected and served as the Red River County Tax Assessor Collector in 1981. Mrs. McGuire served as an elder in the New Shamrock Presbyterian Church in Red River County. After moving to Snyder in 1999, she became a member of the First Presbyterian Church.  
Gladys was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to four children and their spouses, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. 
She loved her family, friends, playing games and was the champion Scrabble player of the family.  
Survivors include two sons, Malcolm E. McGuire Jr. and his wife, Renee’, of Pearland and Don R. Clark and his wife, Rosetta, of Aloha, Ore.; one daughter, Jerry Mullis and her husband, Charles, of Snyder; 10 grandchildren, Aaron McGuire and his wife, Martha, of Houston, Craig McGuire and his wife, Lauren, of Scottsdale, Ariz., Angela McWilliams and her husband, Nick, of Abilene, Don Clark of Portland, Ore., Dana Clark of Bend, Ore., David Clark of Aloha, Ore., Jimmy Mullis and his wife, Kelly, of Kingsland, Jay Mullis  and his wife, Debra, and Joy Mullis, all of Georgetown, and Jana Glass and her husband, Rodney, of Snyder; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Special love and gratitude to the Rev. Dana Mayfield and Carmen Timora for their love and friendship of our Mother. Also to the staff of Snyder Oaks Care Center and the special ladies who took care of her.

Nena Mitchell
1923-2018
Nena Mitchell, 95, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018.
Funeral service for Mrs. Mitchell will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens.

Joanne Sterling
1934-2018
Joanne Sterling, 83, of Ira, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018 in Lubbock. 
Funeral service for Mrs. Sterling will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. LeRoy Ochoa and Matt Lowery officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sterling was born on Dec. 17, 1934 in Corsicana to Walton Ocie and Jimmie Loraine (Fulton) Tipping. She married Mickey Sterling on Aug. 25, 1951 in Snyder. Mrs. Sterling was a homemaker and member of Knapp Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Jetonne Hardgrave, and her sister, Bille Sharon Neyman.
Survivors include her husband, Mickey Sterling of Ira; one daughter, Melisa Martin of Petersburg; two sons, John  Robbie Sterling and his wife, Marla, of Lubbock and Zane Todd Sterling and his wife, Kathy, of Snyder; eight grandchildren, Cody Sterling, Tyson Sterling, Clayton Sterling, Quaid Sterling, Paige Homen, Shonnah Miller, Shana Robbins and Suzannah Chaney; and 10 great-grandchildren.
