Lillian Ragland
1920-2019
Lillian Raye (Hobbs) Ragland, 99, of Blackwell, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral service and a celebration of life for Mrs. Ragland will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Blackwell Baptist Church with the Pastor Jeff White officiating. The service be under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Born on April 24, 1920 in Bryan County, Okla., she married Charles Grady Ragland on June 2, 1941 in Denison. Lillian was a devoted member of the Blackwell Baptist Church and lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and the teachers association. She was employed by Blackwell ISD as cafeteria manager for 24½ years. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Robert and Lea Hobbs, two brothers, Billy Hobbs and Buddy Hobbs, and three sisters, Dorothy Barnett, Lucille Dollar and Melba Anderson. 
Survivors include her children, Charles Ray Ragland and his wife, Rose, and Bernardine Sealy, all of Snyder, Sharron Gose of Truth or Consequences, N.M., Linda Witherspoon of Colorado City, Grady Ragland and his wife, Val, of Sweetwater and Tommy Ragland and his wife, Sammye, of Rowlett; her grandchildren, Alan Shaffer, Shelly Ragland, Kyle Scott, Marny Schneider, Leigh Anne Lewis, Ryan Ragland, Ashley Martel, Debbie Anderson, Michelle Rogers and Trisha Enriquez; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care or a charity of choice.

Sandra West
1938-2019
Sandra Ann (Sorrell) West, 80, of Midland and formerly of Snyder, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019 in Midland. 
Funeral service for Mrs. West will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy Culwell officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born on Dec. 2, 1938 in Stamford to Wilburn and Frances (Foster) Sorrell, she married Don West on Nov. 18, 1956 in Stamford. She was a member of Colonial Hill Baptist Church and a bookkeeper for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Frances Sorrell, one sister, Janet Sorrell Sojourner, and one son-in-law, Richard Huddleston.
Survivors include her husband, Don West; two daughters, Deborah Hicks and her husband, Dan, and Donna Larson and her husband, Greg, all of Midland; nine grandchildren, Dan Hicks Jr. and his wife, Kim, Shannon Meek, Amanda Richardson and her husband, Chris, Melissa Claburn and her husband, Chad, Ryan Huddleston and his wife, Kara, Wesley Huddleston and his wife, Brittany, Kyle Larson and his wife, Samantha, Haley Ashley and her husband, Tyler, and Kacey Broadway and her husband, Blake; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
