Joseph Scott Herrera
Mr. Joseph Scott "Scottie too hottie" Herrera, 49, of Snyder died Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, in Snyder.
Services for Mr. Herrera will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Raj Arokiasamy officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Deacon John Bane officiating.
Mr. Herrera was born on May 11, 1971, in Big Spring to Marcelino and Guadalupe (Miranda) Herrera.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Hilda Herrera; his grandfather, Antonio Miranda; his grandfather, Marcelino Herrera Sr.; and his grandmother, Juanita Herrera.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Garza of Snyder; his father and mother; two sons, Eric Herrera and wife, Jaci, of Coahoma and Joseph Herrera of Lubbock; two daughters, Sonya Herrera of Abilene and Stacey Herrera and husband, Josh Toscano, of Lubbock; four stepsons, Alfredo Castillo of Big Spring, Justin Olvera and wife, Brittany, of Hermleigh, Jordan Olvera and wife, Liliana, of Hermleigh and Roberto Diaz and wife, Hannah, of Snyder; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Veronica Diaz of Snyder and Victoria Diaz of Snyder; one stepbrother, Robbie Rodriguez of Austin; two aunts, Rosa Miranda of Big Spring and Isabel Martin of Big Spring; four uncles, Joe Miranda of Big Spring, Ralph Miranda of Big Spring, Ramon Miranda of Dallas and Tony Miranda of Dallas; four aunts, Evangelina Cerna of Big Spring, Connie Rodriguez of Big Spring, Frances Rodriguez of Big Spring and Asencon Flores of Big Spring; five uncles, Sisto Herrera of Big Spring, Juan Herrera of Big Spring, Jesse Herrera of Big Spring, Ernest Herrera of Abilene and Rey Herrera of Big Spring; and his best friend Sam.
