Roy Edward Sutton
1932-2020
Mr.Roy Edward Sutton, 88 of Snyder died Thursday, September 3, 2020, in Snyder.
A funeral service for Mr. Sutton will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Brother William Scott Johnson officiating.
Mr. Sutton was born in Henderson, Ky., to Walter and Claire Kloky on Aug. 17, 1932. He found his way to Snyder in the mid 1950s with the aspirations of becoming a cowboy. He may not have found himself in a rodeo arena, but he did snag himself a wife, Carolyn, and they were married May 9, 1959.
Roy, always a hard worker who loved to work from sunup to sundown, provided for his family working as a mill hand for Ezell Key, truck driving and taking advantage of all the oilfield work around Snyder. Even after his working years were done, Roy enjoyed staying busy. He loved spending time with his family, attending church, working outside and if he could get you to sit a spell, he loved to talk about the weather, trucks and farming.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ceciel Sutton and Gary Sutton, his sister, June Sutton and his daughter, Charlene Shelton.
Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Brenda Cobb of Henderson, Ky., Barbara Hazelrigg of Henderson, Ky., Linda Wolf of Henderson, Ky., Donna Jordan of Richmond, Va., and Jonell Henderson of Gatesville; his son, Roy Sutton of Snyder; his brother, Walter Ray Sutton; 31 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; along with many other loved ones.

Mrs. Allene Terry, 86, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2020, at Nolan County Nursing and Rehab in Sweetwater.
