Allene Terry

1934-2020

Mrs. Allene Terry, 86, of Snyder died Friday, Sept. 4, 2020, at Nolan County Nursing and Rehab in Sweetwater.

A private family service will be held for Mrs. Terry at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with the Rev. Larry Rodgers officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. No visitation is planned.

Mrs. Terry was born on July 3, 1934, in Sweetwater to Allie and Ida March (Tidwell) Tyler. She married Bill Terry on Nov. 10, 1951, in Sweetwater. She was a faithful and loving member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a  Walk to Emmaus volunteer. She also worked as a clerk at Cogdell Memorial Gift shop for many years and worked at Mundens and the Hermleigh Allsups store. She cherished cooking, crafting and playing Scrabble with family and friends. She will be remembered for her beautiful sparkling eyes that would light up everyone's life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Ronald R. Terry, four sisters, Dorothy Keeling, Lura Tittle, Allie Marie Kinney and Vivian Simmons and her daughter-in-law, Cindy Terry.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Brent Terry and wife, Fay, of Granbury and Jeff Terry and wife, Donna, of Snyder; two sisters, Mattie Belle Ford of Midland and Nell Colwell of Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren, Miranda Hancock and husband, Kenny, of Hermleigh, Sabrina Terry of Midland, Billy Wayne Terry and wife, Justine, of Horsehead, N.Y., Amy Marie McKleroy and husband, Tim, of Springboro, Ohio, and Ty Jay Terry and wife, Ashley, of Roswell, N.M.; and seven great-grandchildren, Blake and Sydney Hancock, Lyla, Quinley and Elora Terry, Ayden, Austin and Tyler Terry and Melody McKleroy.
