The Snyder Lady Tigers may want to play more often at Cates Field.
Snyder snapped a seven-game losing streak by winning three games at the Snyder Softball Invitational on Thursday.
The Lady Tigers (9-8) defeated Forsan 12-1, Colorado City 4-2 and Haskell 7-1.
“That’s what we needed after losing those games,” Lady Tiger head coach Liz Kimbell said. “We got the bats working and played good defense. All three pitchers did well.”
Hailey Morris hit three home runs with eight RBIs during the day.
“Hailey was patient against the pitchers,” Kimbell said. “She did a good job of making the adjustment.”
Snyder 12, Forsan 1
The Lady Tigers scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning highlighted by a two-run triple by Morris. Shayde Millican had a sacrifice fly and James and an RBI single. 
In the second inning, Leatherwood had an RBI triple and Nicole Clark hit an RBI single. Morris added a two-run home run and Jeana Avalos’ sacrifice fly gave Snyder a 9-0 lead.
Snyder added three runs in the fourth, highlighted by Morris’ solo home run.
Snyder 4, Colorado City 2
Millican broke a 2-2 tie in the third inning with a home run. Leatherwood added an RBI double and Claudia Gutierrez hit an RBI double.
Snyder 7, Haskell 1
The Lady Tigers led 5-0 after two innings. Morris and Gutierrez each hit an RBI single in the first inning. Gutierrez later scored by stealing home. In the second, Avalos hit an RBI double and later scored.
Morris hit a two-run home run in the fourth.
The Lady Tigers will start bracket play at 11 a.m. Saturday against an opponent to be determined. Saturday’s games will be posted on the Snyder Daily News Facebook page as soon as they are released today.
