HIGHLAND — The Ira boys track team claimed its first victory of the season Thursday the Highland Hilltop Relays at Highland High School Thursday.
The Ira boys recorded eight first place finishes and won the team title by 20 points.
Lexton Hernandez finished first in both the 800-meter and the 3200-meter runs.
Senior Brayden White won the 110-meter hurdles and senior Karson Valentine won the 300-meter hurdles and the long jump.
Senior Nathan Goodwin won the triple jump and senior Carter Roberson won the shot put.
The Ira girls finished fifth overall with a team score of 52. Evelyn Gallegos finished second in the 200-meter dash and Ira took second in the 4X200-meter relays.
