Snyder pitcher Alyssa Hurt delivered a pitch during Thursday’s game Kermit Thursday afternoon. The Lady Tigers defeated Kermit and lost to Seminole.
The Snyder Lady Tigers collected 28 hits to defeat Kermit 11-7 at the Snyder Softball Invitational on Thursday.
The Lady Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and added another run in the second. After Kermit tied the game in the top of the third, Snyder took the lead, 6-2, for good with four runs in the bottom of the inning.
Kermit cut the deficit to 6-4 in the top of the sixth, but Snyder responded with five runs in the bottom of the inning.
Kermit scored three runs in the top of the seventh, but Snyder was able to end the rally to pick up the win.
Ciara Galvan, Abby Benitez, Zowie Rodriguez and Gigi Rodriguez each had four hits for Snyder.
Alyssa Hurt, who pitched the first six innings, picked up the win.

Seminole 12, Snyder 3
The Lady Tigers lost to Seminole, 12-3, in Thursday’s second game.
Seminole led 4-2 after the first inning and 8-2 going into the fifth inning.
The Maidens scored one run in the fifth before Snyder plated a run in the bottom of the inning.
Seminole added three runs in the seventh.
Benitez, Rodriguez and Grant each had four hits for Snyder. Hurt pitched a complete game and took the loss.

The Eula Pirates took an early lead and held off Snyder, 3-1, this morning.
Eula scored one run in the second inning and two in the fifth.
Snyder scored its only run in the top of the sixth inning on a Medrano RBI single.
Rodriguez, Medrano and Adrianna Juarez each had three hits in the game. Ciara Galvan pitched three innings, allowing one run on 12 hits with four strikeouts and three walks.
The Lady Tigers are scheduled to play Fort Stockton at 7 p.m. today. On Saturday, the Lady Tigers will play Hermleigh at 3 p.m. and Stamford at 7 p.m.
