Pair of WTC players headed to next level

A pair of Western Texas College women’s basketball players are headed to the next level.
Sophomores Morgan Dial and Marta Casas Gimenez announced their next destinations via Twitter recently.Dial, a five-foot-six guard from Denver City, is headed to Colorado State University Pueblo where she will play for the Thunderwolves.
Dial was a three-point specialist for the Lady Westerners in 2019 and averaged 11.1 points per game with three rebounds and two assists. She scored 19 points twice in 2019 and had just 11 games in which she scored in single digits.
Gimenez, also a guard, will take her talents to Point University in Georgia.
Gimenez handled the point guard duties and averaged 7.8 points per game with four assists and four rebounds per game. The native of Spain scored a career high 17 points in a 67-60 loss to Phoenix College on Nov. 2, 2019.
