Ira sophomore Teaghan Price was tied for 14th place after the first round of the Class 1A state golf tournament on Monday.
Price shot 99 at the Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin and entered today’s final round tied with Knippa’s Victoria Davis, Leakey’s Brianna Webb and Happy’s Macee Johnson.
Hannah Nommo of Phoenix Charter School led the 68-girl field with a first round 78, two shots ahead of Motley County’s Sierra Jameson.
Robert Lee and Eula shared the first round team lead at 405. 
Grady shot 423 while Garden City finished the first round with a 424.
Snyder senior Cylie Velasquez entered today’s final round of the Class 4A tournament in a tie for 36th place. She shot 88 at Plum Creek Golf Club Monday.
Velasquez is tied with Lampasas’ Sara Olson, Argyle’s Molly Yarbrough and Midlothian Heritage’s Maddie Sanders.
Carrollton Ranchview’s Bohyn Park held the first round lead with a 62, 12 shots ahead of Lamar Fulshear’s Tristan Gabbard.
Andrews, which won the Region 1-4A title this season, leads the team standings at 319 followed by Lampasas at 340.
