Scurry County basketball players recognized for 2020 season

Several Scurry County basketball players were recognized for their efforts this past season by both the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) and the Texas Six-Man Coaches Association (TSMCA).
Snyder seniors Teafale Lenard and Natalee James both earned TABC Region 1-4A all-region honors.
Teafale played for the co-district champion Tigers and James helped lead the Lady Tigers to consecutive bi-district titles.
Ira senior Nathan Goodwin was named to both the TABC Region 2-1A all-region team and the TSMCA all-region team. His teammate, senior Karson Valentine, was also named to the TSMCA all-region team and the TSMCA all-state second team.
The Hermleigh basketball programs were well represented, with four Cardinals earning honors. Seniors Ryleigh Benitez and Makia Gonzales and junior Brittany Smith each earned TABC Region 2-1A all-region honors and senior Kobe Roemisch earned Region 3-1A honors.
The four Cardinals also were named to the TSMCA all-region team.  
Gonzales was also named to the TSMCA all-state first team.
