Seventh grade teams defeat Brownwood

The Snyder seventh grade Gold and Black volleyball teams defeated Brownwood on Thursday.

The Gold team won the first set 25-20, lost the second set 25-19 and ended the match with a 25-12 win in the third set. Jada James had 16 service points and Azariah Sosa had 12 service points.

The Black team beat Brownwood in straight sets, 25-20, 25-20. Neheva Williams had 13 service points and Jackie Villarreal had nine service points.

In the eighth grade matches, the Black team lost to Brownwood, 25-23, 25-6. Kirsten Luera had five service points.

The eighth grade Gold lost, 25-10, 25-7. Brianna Richburg and Madison Lieb each finished with two service points.

“We ended the season with a 10-5 record and I was proud of the hard work and dedication that these girls put in every day,” said eighth grade Gold coach Bianca Gonzalez said. “It was great watching them improve and get  better. I look forward to seeing what they can do in high school.”

Seventh grade Black team — Neheva Williams 13, Jackie Villarreal 9, Precious Davis 5, Courtney Soltero 5, Ava Martinez 2, Anyaley Juaraz 1.

Seventh grade Gold team — Jada James 16, Azariah Sosa 12, Myia Braziel 7, Illeana Madrid 5, Julie Munoz 5, Dayz Lentz 3.

Eighth grade Black team — Kirsten Luera 5, Shelby Salinas 3, Alexia Estrada 2, Marissa Amaya 1.
