SJHS volleyball teams wins two matches

The Snyder Junior High School volleyball teams won two of four matches against Midland Christian Thursday.
The eighth grade Black team won in three sets and the seventh Black team swept Midland Christian. Midland Christian defeated the seventh grade Gold team in three sets and the eighth grade Gold team in straight sets.
The four teams are scheduled to host Big Spring on Monday.
Seventh Grade Black
Snyder (9-1) swept Midland Christian, 25-14, 25-23. Analy Rodriguez, Raylee Avalos, Lanie Guzman and Brianna Depaz each had six service points.
“The girls did well,” coach A’lex Lutz said. “They had a good comeback in the second set. They pushed through, made adjustments and won. Our only loss this season came in an A tournament. I’m so proud of my girls.”

Eighth Grade Black
Snyder defeated Midland Christian, 25-20, 19-25, 28-26. Courtney Soltero finished with 13 service points.
“It was a great team win,” coach Amy Grotjohn said. “I was very proud of the girls.”

Eighth Grade Gold
Snyder (10-3) lost to Midland Christian, 25-23, 25-17. Myia Braziel had six service points.

Seventh Grade Gold
Snyder lost to Midland Christian, 25-17, 19-25, 15-13. Ava Aviles had 14 service points.
