Snyder basketball comes away with pair of wins against Lake View

SAN ANGELO — It was a solid night for the Snyder Tiger basketball programs.
Both the Tigers and Lady Tigers came away with road wins over San Angelo Lake View Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers held the Maidens to fewer than 10 points in all but one quarter and closed out their regular season with a win.
The Lady Tigers finished the season 19-14 and their 6-2 District 5-4A record wrapped up second place. The Lady Tigers will travel to Breckenridge to face Burkburnett in the bi-district playoffs at 6 p.m. Monday.
The Tigers also flexed their defensive muscles in a 43-24 win.
Senior Teafale Lenard led the team with 15 points. Junior Zach Miller added another 12 points. Senior Jayden Samaniego and sophomore Eber Murillo each scored seven points and the Tigers improved to 16-13 on the year and 6-1 in District 5-4A play. The Tigers are currently in a tie for first place with Midland Greenwood and will wrap up the regular season at home against Big Spring at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
