Snyder cross country stays hot in Anson

The Snyder boys’ cross country teams secured another first place finish at the Anson cross country meet last week.
The girls team also put together a solid showing, finishing third overall as a team.
The Tigers were once again led by Christian Escobedo, who took first with a time of 16:31, almost a full minute ahead of the second place finisher, Corey Landin of Snyder, who ran a 17:14.
Antonio Martinez and Michael Jaramillo took third and fifth. The Anson meet was Jaramillo’s first back from an injury. Snyder had five finishers in the top 10 out of 70 runners, as Jeremiah Rodriguez finished sixth.
For the girls, Zairah Cabrera led the way with a time of 14:34, good for 19th. Right behind her was Kim Cortes with a 14:34.
