Snyder’s Christian Escobedo continued his string of first place finishes as the cross country team secured first place at the Big Spring Invitational Saturday.
Escobedo led all racers with a time of 13:06. Corey Landin finished fourth with a 13:46 and Michael Jaramillo’s time of 14:11 was good for ninth place. Jeremiah Rodriguez’ time of 14:11 gave Snyder four top 10 finishers out of 90 runners.
The Snyder girls had success as well, taking fourth out of 10 teams. Kim Cortes finished 13th with a time of 14:06. Kinsey Kelley was not far behind with a time of 14:17, which was 18th. Snyder had seven finishers in the top 50 out of 97 runners.
Snyder’s next race will be the District 5-4A meet at the WTC cross country course on Oct. 16.
