Snyder’s Hilaria Velasquez had three hits in the JV’s 9-7 loss to Eula at the Snyder Softball Invitational on Thursday.
The Snyder JV softball team lost two games at the Snyder Softball Invitational on Thursday.
The Lady Tigers lost to Eula, 9-7, and Haskell 13-2.
Snyder was scheduled to play Haskell at 3 p.m. today and on Saturday will play Albany at 11 a.m. and Eula at 1 p.m.
Eula 9, Snyder 7
The Lady Tigers built a 7-1 lead before the Lady Pirates battled back to pick up the win.
After Eula scored one run in the top of the first inning, Snyder scored five runs in the bottom of the inning and added two runs in the third inning. Eula cut the deficit to 7-4 after four innings and scored five runs in the fifth to pick up the win.
Meghan Fletcher, Chloe Gutierrez and Hilaria Velasquez each had three hits for Snyder. The Lady Tigers finished with 21 hits and every batter had at least two hits.
Gutierrez pitched a complete game in taking the loss.

Haskell 13, Snyder 2
Haskell scored two runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back in picking up the win.
Haskell scored two runs in the first inning and added two runs in the second. A five-run third inning gave Haskell a 9-0 lead. After Snyder scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth, Haskell scored four runs in the fifth.
Gutierrez, Stormie Becerra, Fletcher, Bonnie Jasper and Joanie Burns each had two hits for Snyder. Gutierrez took the loss.
