he Snyder News All-Decade series turns to the best Snyder Lady Tiger softball players since 2010.

First Team

Lindzi Clemmer

2012 to 2015

In her four years as a Lady Tiger, Clemmer won three individual district awards and two all-state accolades.

After earning Newcomer of the Year honors in 2012, Clemmer broke out as a sophomore in 2013. While playing the infield, Clemmer hit .549 with 18 doubles, three triples and 30 RBIs. She also recorded 45 stolen bases and was named first team all-district.

As a junior she hit .603 with 13 doubles, three triples, five home runs and 26 RBIs. She also stole 51 bases. Clemmer was named the district’s Offensive MVP and earned all-state accolades.

As a senior, Clemmer led the Lady Tigers to a 24-4 record, hitting .767 with 13 doubles, seven triples, 10 home runs, 43 RBIs and 46 stolen bases. The Lady Tigers went 8-0 and claimed the district title and Clemmer was named the district MVP, along with earning all-state honors.

Following her high school career, Clemmer played softball for four years at Lubbock Christian University.

Taylor Hinojos

2012 to 2015

A four-year starter, Hinojos was the ace of the Lady Tiger pitching staff during their 2015 post-season run.

In her freshman season, Hinojos served as a utility player, earning second team all-district honors. As a junior, she hit .417 with 17 doubles, four home runs and 36 RBIs.

On the mound in 2013, Hinojos went 12-3 with 75 strikeouts and just 39 walks in 84 innings. She finished the season with a 2.91 earned run average (ERA). At the plate, she hit .508 with 13 home runs, 51 RBIs, 12 doubles and three triples. She was named the district’s Defensive MVP and earned all-state accolades.

As a starting pitcher her senior year, Hinojos was undefeated with a 9-0 record and a 1.58 ERA in 57.2 innings. She struck out 72 batters and allowed just 20 walks and was named the district’s Pitcher of the Year.

After beginning her collegiate career at Odessa College, Hinojos transferred to Hardin-Simmons University where she was set for her redshirt-senior year before the NCAA cancelled the season due to COVID-19.

Hailey Morris

2015 to 2017

In her three-year varsity career, Morris powered the Lady Tiger lineup and earned individual all-district awards all three seasons.

As a sophomore in 2015, Morris hit .611 with seven doubles, five home runs and drove in 16 runs, earning her the district Offensive MVP award and all-state accolades.

As a junior she hit .616 with 30 doubles, five triples, 11 home runs, 56 RBI and 25 stolen bases. She was also solid as a defender, recording a perfect fielding percentage and was named the district’s Defensive MVP.

In her senior season, Morris slugged 15 home runs and hit .561 with 13 doubles and five triples. She was named the district MVP and was named to her third all-state team.

Morris finished her career with 31 career home runs and 50 career doubles.

Adrianna Hernandez

2011 to 2014

Another four-year starter, Hernandez was a solid contributor on the mound.

Hernandez earned Newcomer of the Year honors as a freshman in 2011 and was named to the all-district second team as a pitcher in 2012. 

As a junior, Hernandez recorded a 1.13 ERA with 77 strikeouts in 73.2 innings in 2013. At the plate, she hit .419 with three doubles and 20 RBIs while stealing 24 bases. She was named the district MVP and made her first all-state team.

As a senior, Hernandez went 22-3 on the mound with 96 strikeouts and a 2.02 ERA in 145 innings pitched. She gave up just 53 walks and earned her second district MVP award.

Hernandez pitched for Western Texas College following her high school career.

Claudia Gutierrez

2015 to 2017

Gutierrez was a versatile player for the Lady Tigers from 2015 to 2017.

She began her career in the outfield, earning second team all-district honors as a sophomore after hitting .500 with 12 doubles and two home runs.

She was named the district MVP in 2016 after she hit .464 with eight triples, seven home runs and 44 RBIs while also recording 25 stolen bases.

She pitched as a senior, going 5-3 with 18 strikeouts over 62 innings in 2017. She also hit .423 with seven doubles and nine home runs and was named the district’s Utility Player of the Year.

Alexis Prouxl

2012 to 2015

Prouxl played catcher for the Lady Tigers from 2012 to 2015 and was a three-time all-state selection.

As a sophomore, Prouxl was named the district Offensive MVP after she hit .516 with 12 home runs, 17 doubles and 48 RBIs while also handling the majority of the catching duties.

She earned first team all-district catcher honors in 2014 and 2015 and finished her career with 24 career home runs and more than 100 RBIs. She was named to four all-district teams.

Second Team

Shayde Millican

2014 to 2016

A three-year starter in the outfield, Millican had her best season as a senior. She hit .411 with 15 doubles, 29 RBIs and 22 stolen bases. In her career, Millican hit six home runs, 37 doubles and drove in 62 runs. She finished her career with three all-district first team selections.

Megan Leatherwood

2013 to 2016

A four-year starter, Leatherwood was a mainstay in the Lady Tiger outfield.

Leatherwood hit .413 with 22 doubles, four home runs and 29 RBIs as a senior in 2016 and earned her fourth all-district selection. In her career, she was a .357 hitter and finished her career with 49 RBIs.

 

Priscilla Guzman

2012 to 2015

Guzman spent time in the infield and outfield during her four-year varsity career.

As a sophomore, Guzman hit .448 with seven home runs and 37 RBIs as an outfielder. As a junior, she moved to the infield and drove in 23 runs and hit nine doubles, three triples and five home runs on her way to first team all-district honors.

Guzman was first team all-district all four years of her high school career.
