Snyder tennis secures first district win over Greenwood

The Snyder tennis team recorded its first district win of the season, beating Midland Greenwood on the road Tuesday.
Chris Moreno, Dylan Nobles and Eli McClain each won their singles matches in the contest and every member of the girls’ team won their singles match as well. Carolyn Stelluti, Kynzie Avalos, Brandy Jones, Morgan Chapman, Desire Malmsten and Mary Kerr all won their individual matches.
In doubles matches, Kynzie Avalos and her partner Emilie Hodge won their match-up in just two sets and Morgan Chapman and Desire Malmsten did the same. Neftali James and  McClain won their doubles match as well.

Boys’ doubles: Collin Guynes-Dylan Nobles 1-6, 4-6; Chris Moreno-John Hernandez 3-6, 6-2, 8-10; Neftali Jaimes-Eli McClain 6-3, 7-6.
Girls’ doubles: Carolyn Stelluti-Brandy Jones 2-6, 3-6; Kynzie Avalos-Emilie Hodge 6-3, 6-2; Morgan Chapman-Desire Malmsten 6-1, 6-3.
Mixed doubles: Shad Hodge-Makenah Short 6-4, 5-7, 6-10.
Boys’ singles: Guynes 0-6, 1-6; Moreno 6-3, 7-5; Hernandez 4-6, 2-6; Nobles 4-6, 6-1, 10-8; McClain 4-6, 6-4, 8-10.
Girls’ singles: Stelluti 6-1, 6-2; Avalos 7-6, 6-2; Jones 7-6, 6-3; Chapman 6-1, 6-2; Malmsten 6-0, 6-3; Kerr 6-0, 6-0.
