SHALLOWATER — The Snyder High School track team brought home several gold medals from the Shallowater track meet on Thursday.
On the girls’ side, senior Madelynn Cravens notched first place finishes in the 100-meter dash and the high jump.
Sophomore Taryn Nobles secured wins in the 1600-meter run and the 400-meter run. Sophomore Mary Kerr took second in the 400-meter run and the 800-meter run.
On the boys’ side, senior Greg Williams won the 100-meter dash for the second meet in a row.
Senior Corey Landin took first in the 800-meter run.
Aiden Salinas won the 110-meter hurdles and the 4X200 Relay team of Jorge Martinez, Jaden Hernandez, John Rivera and Julian Rodriguez took gold as well.
The 4X400-meter relay team of Hernandez, Martinez, Jeremiah Rodriguez and Landin took second and junior Christian Escobedo took second in the 3200-meter run
The Snyder track team will have to wait to compete again after the San Angelo Relays were cancelled due to the cancellation of all UIL activities.
