Three SJHS teams defeat Big Spring

Three Snyder Junior High School volleyball teams defeated Big Spring at home Monday.

The eighth grade Gold team beat Big Spring, 25-15, 25-16 and the Black team won, 25-18, 25-20. The seventh grade Gold team defeated the Lady Steers, 25-18, 25-9.

Abby Benitez and Alex Salinas each had eight service points for the eighth grade Gold team. Madison Lieb had six service points.

“I was proud of how the girls played,” coach Bianca Gonzalez said. “They played as a team and got the win.”

Marissa Amaya had 22 service points for the eighth grade Black team.

Jada James finished with 22 service points for the seventh grade Gold team. Julie Munoz had nine service points.

The seventh grade Black team lost to Big Spring, 25-20, 25-21. Neheva Williams had seven service points and Sylvia Martinez had six service points.

SJHS will finish the season by hosting Brownwood Oct. 26.
