SAN ANTONIO — The Western Texas College Westerners shot 915 to finish fourth at the University of Incarnate Word James S. Litz Memorial Golf Tournament Monday.
WTC shot rounds of 301, 313 and 301 at the Republic Golf Course.
Elliott Fullalove (72-80-70) was seventh after shooting 222. Piers Berrington (75-80-73) finished 15th by shooting 228. Jordan Flynn (78-78-77—233) tied for 21st place, followed by Tate McVay (76-80-81—237), who was 35th. Jakib Mikel (78-75-90) shot 243 to tie for 46th.
Tucker Tovar (81-77-84) tied for 44th at 242 while playing as an individual.
“It was not a bad start for the spring season and we played Division I and II teams,” WTC head coach Todd Selders said. “Elliott and Piers played well during the final round. Coach (Matt) McCormick did a good job walking with the players and coaching them. We need to keep the momentum going.”
The Westerners will play at the Lubbock Christian University Invitational at the Rawls Golf Course in Lubbock March 7.
