The Western Texas College baseball team opened Western Junior College Athletic Conference play by winning 3-of-4 games against New Mexico Military Institute this past weekend.
The Westerners (7-9, 3-1) swept Friday’s doubleheader, 2-0 and 8-7. The two teams split Saturday’s doubleheader with WTC winning game one, 10-6 and NMMI winning the nightcap, 17-9.
