WTC athletes named to all-academic team

Seventy-two Western Texas College athletes were named to the Western Junior College Athletic Conference all-academic team for the fall semester.
Athletes with a 3.65 or better grade point average (GPA) were first-team honorees and athletes with a 3.25 to 3.64 GPA were second-team honorees.
Here are the WTC athletes named to the conference’s all-academic team:

Baseball
First Team —Thomas Laney and Elliot Ranson.
Second Team — Christian Aleman, Garrett Claderon, Zachary Carrion, Mayfield Hayes, Izaiah Madrid, J.P. Marrero, Hunter McLarry, Jackson Sutter and Clavin Whitaker.
Women’s Basketball
First Team — Morgan Dial, Corbriyana Wingfield, Sayanna Roy and Alexis Oses.
Second Team — Marta Casas Gimenez, Lacy Ferguson, Jaelyn Goodloe and Brooke McGee.
Men’s Basketball
Second Team — Miles McDougal, Jevon Brown and Frederic Bikoi Yana
