WTC basketball adds Mayar from Utah

The Western Texas College men’s basketball 2020 recruiting class is up to five after the Westerners’ secured a commitment from Salt Lake City, Utah’s Deng Mayar.
Mayar is a six-foot-seven forward who averaged 17 points per game with five rebounds for Judge Memorial High School in 2019. According to an article by www.prephoops.com, Mayar grew from six-foot-three to six-foot-seven during his senior season. He led the Bulldogs to a 19-8 record in 2019.
“Playing at the next level has been a dream of mine since I was young,” Mayar wrote in a Twitter post. “I would like to thank my family and friends for being my support system. I will be committing to (WTC) to further my education and basketball career.”
The Westerners’ 2020 recruiting class includes:
Dawson John — Brantford, Ontario
Nakavieon White — Odessa
Lukas Croft — Ball State University
Ja’Bryant Hill — Duncanville
Deng Mayar — Salt Lake City, Utah
