WTC loses three games to NMJC

The Western Texas College Westerners’ baseball team lost three of four games to New Mexico Junior College in its opening Western Junior College Athletic Conference series last weekend.

WTC lost a doubleheader to New Mexico JC 3-1 and 5-4 in Hobbs, N.M. Friday. The Westerners defeated the Thunderbirds 5-4 in Saturday’s first game at Westerner Field before a 5-4 loss in the nightcap.

The Westerners (10-11, 1-3) will host Clarendon College in conference action Friday and Saturday.

Friday
