The Western Texas College men’s soccer team added a new recruit to its backfield this week, securing a commitment from Laredo’s Lyndon B. Johnson High School’s Arath Rios.
Rios put together a solid high school career, twice being named the District 29-6A defensive player of the year.
“I chose to go to Western Texas College because after much thought, coach Salomon Moctezuma made me feel that I would be at home in Snyder,” Rios said in an interview with the Laredo Morning Times.
Rios joins a WTC squad that went 5-8 in 2019.
