WTC soccer player earns player of the week honors

Western Texas College’s Jose Chavarria was named the Region V Division I men’s soccer player of the week by the National Junior College Athletic Association Tuesday.
Chavarria, a freshman forward from Wichita Falls, scored a combined three goals during wins over Garden City Community College and Hill College this past weekend. In four matches this season, Chavarria has three goals on four shots taken.
Chavarria and his teammates will host Ranger College at Weaver Field at 4 p.m. today.
