WTC women fifth at NJCAA tournament

MESA, Ariz. — Western Texas College started today’s final round of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) women’s golf tournament in fifth place.
The Lady Westerners (329-317-331—977) shot 331 during Wednesday’s third round at the Longbow Golf Course. WTC trailed third place McLennan Community College by 10 shots. 
Sadie Dewinton-Davies (76-74-79–229) was in seventh place entering the final round and Kiana Oshiro (79-78-77—234) was tied for 12th place. Sonja Wickemeyer (86-82-87—255) was tied for 45th place, followed by Hijke Pretorius (tied for 57th place, 89-88-88—263) and Anna Seahorn (59th place, 86-91-87–264).

LUBBOCK — WTC was in seventh place going into the third round of the NJCAA men’s golf tournament at The Rawls Course.
Michael Weppernig (70-71) was tied for eighth with a 141. Hadley Reynolds (73-73) was tied for 23rd place at 146, followed by Tae Itthiratchai (tied for 46th place, 75-74—149), Paul Murphy (tied for 57th place, 73-78—151) and Jay Hitt (tied for 57th place, 73-78—151).
The Westerners trail sixth-place Odessa College by six shots and fifth-place Central Alabama Community College by 11.
