WTC’s Witter, Riley win events

PITTSBURG, Kan. — Western Texas College’s Cameka Witter and Travis Riley won the women’s 600-yard run and men’s triple jump, respectively, at the Pittsburg State Track and Field Invitational on Saturday.
Witter set a new meet and school record with a time of 1:22.59. Riley had a jump of 25-2.75, the best in the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Deborah Acquah was second in the triple jump (39-8) and seventh in the long jump (18-3.75), respectively.
Shanice Williams was third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.50 seconds.
Kimisha Chambers, Segale Brown, Britney Duncan and Witter finished second in the 1600-meter relay with a time of 3:47.47.
Sean Bailey finished second in the men’s 400-meter dash with a time of 46.76. Louis Davis was sixth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.78.
