Things I learned from my mom

Dear Editor,
Enjoy life, enjoy the work you have to do and have fun while getting the job done. We are sooner or later going to do the work anyway, so rare back, have fun and see if your health and outlook change for the better.
Enjoy life, find ways to relieve stress and live happier. Those all need to measure up. You need to know how to keep yourself in good health, move more and find ways to bring exercise into your day. Eat well and find ways to make healthy eating decisions.
Measuring up means to take good care of yourself. Measuring up means keeping a close eye on how you look, feel and act each day. To improve daily habits takes mindfulness, being mindful of whether the choices we make are helping or hurting our well being. We will soon find that healthy choices usually make us feel better right away.
Enjoy life. Go ahead and list everything you enjoy doing and things you love. Here are some of mine: have meaningful relationships and maintain a positive outlook. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You will need them throughout your life. This is God’s word, an indispensable weapon.
In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Have fun and honor all.
Work hard like you don’t need the money.
Love like you have never been hurt.
Sing like no one is listening.
Dance, dance, dance like no one is watching.
