Jean Carol Crisp

1943-2023

Jean Carol Crisp, 80, of Lampasas, passed away on October 25.  

She was born on October 13, 1943, in Baltimore, MD to Carlton and Luella (Whitesell) Fore.

Jean was a loving wife, proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her goats, her potbelly pigs, Pretty Boy the bird, Sam the cat, but most of all she loved her Boston Terrier dogs. And, if you knew Jean, you knew her love for Elvis Presley!

On December 17, 1986, Jean was awarded the Honorary Member of the Audie Murphy Club by Command Sergeant Major George L. Horvath, she was the first woman ever to receive this honor. She was also awarded the Superior Civilian Service Award by Major General Robert E. Armbruster. Jean retired after 28 years of service as the Awards Administrator Personnel Directorate serving from 1975-2003.

Jean married Bert Crisp, Sr. on April 16, 1962, and together they enjoyed 56 years of marriage before his passing on October 26, 2017. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Luella Fore; her sisters, Betty O’donnel, Louise Smith and son, Bert Crisp, Jr.

Survivors include her sons, David Crisp and wife Melanie, Michael Crisp and wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Stephanie Vantine and husband Patrick, Megan Reyna and husband Ernest, Kandi Harris and husband Josh, Kevin Harris and wife Heather, Kristopher Crisp and wife Emma, Michael Crisp and wife Teffany, Sara Crisp, Trevor Crisp, Britain Paulk and husband Dallas, Jillian Holt and husband Jeremy; 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and another on the way.

Visitation was held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on October 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Graveside services were on October 31 at 11 a.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

 

Rosalee Crow

1938-2023

Mrs. Rosalee Crow, 87, passed away October 29 at Good Life Assisted Living in Snyder. Services are pending at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
