The Board of County Development unanimously approved funding the Snyder Chamber of Commerce Fourth of July fireworks show during today’s meeting.
The board agreed to join the City of Snyder, Development Corporation of Snyder and Snyder Chamber of Commerce in contributing $4,125 each for the show. The total cost is $16,500.
The board also discussed the annual business exterior improvement grants. Board president Wade Warren said he has received several inquiries from businesses interested in participating in the program.
Warren said one of the inquiries came from the Scurry County Museum and the 1818 Art House for signage. However, non-profit organizations are not eligible for the program.
Applications are available at the county judge’s office.
