Body found in Borden County

The Borden County Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday a dead body was discovered at the scene of a Dec. 6 fire.
The fire occurred near Lake J.B. Thomas in the southeastern part of Borden County.
Borden County Sheriff Benny Allison was not available for comment.
The victim has not been identified and the remains were sent to Lubbock for an autopsy.
The Borden County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Rangers and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the fire.
