Boil water notice issued for U&F Water Supply

Customers in the U&F Water Supply system, located in the Union and Fluvanna areas, are under a boil water notice.
Officials with the water supply company said the notice was issued due to the loss of pressure in the system.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality ordered the notice.
Residents should boil water prior to drinking, cooking and making ice.
“The water should be brought to a vigorous, roiling boil and then boiled for two minutes,” the notice stated.
