The Snyder Chamber of Commerce board of directors will vote on $54,125 in hotel occupancy tax (HOT) fund requests during Monday’s meeting.
Organizers from 12 different events, including two first-time events, requested the funds. The chamber’s HOT fund committee heard from each group last week and will present its recommendations to the board Monday.
The events are:
• West Texas Extreme Race Circuit — $5,000 for this weekend’s races at the Roland Springs Ranch.
• Solar Car Challenge — $1,350 for the July 17 event. The money would reimburse the chamber for feeding participants.
