The Snyder Chamber of Commerce will host the first of two Sip and Shop events, to encourage Scurry County residents to shop at home for the Christmas holiday, from 4-8 p.m. Thursday in downtown Snyder.
The event will include door prizes, food trucks, vendors, music, wine and discounts at participating merchants.
Chamber Events Coordinator Josh Ortegon said many merchants will have extended shopping hours Thursday.
“It is to help support small business and encourage people to shop local,” Ortegon said.
Participating stores and entities are Time Square Coffee House and Frozen Yogurt, Granny Fay’s Closet, The Blessed Nest, Western Auto, The Whistle Stop, Just D’Vine Gifts, 1818 Art House, Classic Interiors, Development Corporation of Snyder, Blossom Bucket, The Wooden Willow Boutique, Mason Jar Mercantile, Nana Bears Notions and College on the Square.
The second Sip and Shop will be on Dec. 15 and both are previews of the types of gift ideas are available in Snyder for Christmas shopping.
