City, county offices closed for Texas Independence Day

March 2 is Texas Independence Day, and while local schools and banks will be open, Snyder city offices and Scurry County offices will be closed. All emergency services, including police, sheriff, fire, and emergency medical services, will continue to operate as usual.
The Scurry County Library will be closed in observance of the holiday Monday.
The Snyder landfill will be closed for the holiday on Saturday, and will close at noon on Monday.
Both the local Texas Department of Public Safety and United States Post Office will be open Monday.
All local schools, including Snyder, Ira and Hermleigh school districts, Snyder Christian School and Western Texas College, will be on regular schedule throughout the observance.
All local banks, including First Bank and Trust, Community Bank, Prosperity Bank, West Texas State Bank and AimBank, will be open as normal.
Scurry County Teachers Federal Credit Union will be closed in observance of the holiday on Monday.
