Council to appoint voting clerks

The Snyder City Council will meet Monday to appoint five deputy early voting clerks for the upcoming mayoral election.
According to the meeting agenda, the council is expected to appoint Gloria Lopez, Joe Lopez, Teresa Rowe, Paula Juarez and Cenna Lane to the position.
Early voting for in the election, which features incumbent Mayor Tony Wofford and challenger Stephanie Ducheneaux, begins Monday at College on the Square and will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 29-30.
Monday’s council meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers at Snyder City Hall and is open to the public. Time has been set aside for the public to comment on non-agenda items.
