County to consider tax abatement for solar company

The Scurry County Commissioners’ Court will consider a tax abatement request from Midwest Solar Power, LLC, when it meets Tuesday.
The court will also consider adopting new tax abatement guidelines and criteria.
Commissioners are scheduled to vote on a hiring freeze and to appoint an infection control officer.
Commissioners will also vote on an ambulance transfer agreement for the Scurry County Hospital District, Snyder Oaks Care Center and Snyder Healthcare Center.
The court will also vote on whether to pay an outstanding invoice owed by the Bunker Grill at the Scurry County Golf Course and will consider proclaiming the week of Oct. 2-8 as National 4-H Week.
The court will consider any line-item transfers and budget amendments.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Scurry County Courtroom, located on the third floor of the Scurry County Courthouse, and is open to the public.
No time is set aside for public comment on non-agenda items.
