Arrests
At 11:07 a.m. Friday, an employee with Family Dollar reported a female shoplifter had left the store. At 11:21 a.m., a 32-year-old female was arrested in the 1800 block of 30th Street for theft.
A 32-year-old male was arrested at 3:01 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of 25th Street on municipal court warrants for speeding and driving while license invalid.
Theft
A person called the law enforcement center at 2:32 p.m. Friday to report a man was attempting to steal a trailer at the Black Locust Ranch on FM 1606. When law enforcement arrived, it was learned the trailer was owned by a neighbor who had given permission to use it.
Criminal mischief
A fence at Gebo’s was cut, according to a call at 5:02 p.m. Friday.
Fires
Controlled burns were called in at 11:32 a.m. from Ira Pump and Supply, at 11:53 a.m. from the 2600 block of Business U.S. Hwy. 84 and at 10:24 p.m. from the intersection of FM 1611 and CR 258.
Animal concern
A person was treated for a cat bite at 12:38 p.m. Friday at the Cogdell Memorial Hospital emergency room. The information was given to the Borden County Sheriff’s Office because the incident occurred in Borden County.
Loud music
Loud music was reported at 9:06 p.m. from the 2100 block of O’Neil Ave.
