The Snyder Daily News has received additional details about Monday’s fatal wreck on Hwy. 208 just north of Dunn in southern Scurry County.
According to information provided by Department of Public Safety information officer Fred Biddle, Cody Allen Loving, 45, of Snyder was driving a 2019 Ford pick-up truck east on FM 1606 at 5:45 a.m. Monday when he drove through a stop sign located at the intersection with Hwy. 208.
Loving’s truck crashed into the driver’s side of a 2015 Ford pick-up being driven north on Hwy. 208 by Jared Lee Foster, 39, of Colorado City.
Foster was pronounced dead at the scene by Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Ricki Webb. 
Loving was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock with injuries classified as serious.
According to Trooper Biddle’s report, both men were wearing safety belts at the time of the wreck. 
Weather reports indicate that weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident. 
Biddle advised that the information provided is from a preliminary report, and may change based on the investigators’ findings.
In addition to Texas DPS troopers, Scurry County Sheriff’s deputies and fire and emergency medical services personnel responded to the accident.
