Eight people indicted by grand jury

The Scurry County District Clerk’s Office released the names of eight people indicted by a Scurry County grand jury this week.
David Thomas Gonzales, 22, of Hermleigh, was indicted for the Feb. 9 offense of theft of a firearm, a third-degree felony. Bond was set at $5,000.
Joe Louis Fuentez, 30, of Snyder, was indicted for the Nov. 25, 2015 offense of possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony. He was found in possession of methamphetamine on or within 1,000 feet of Snyder High School. Bond was set at $5,000.
Whitney Lee Warner, 29, of Snyder, was indicted for the Jan. 23 offense of possession of a controlled substance, a state-jail felony. The indictment stated she was in possession of cocaine. Her bond was set at $5,000.
Adam Sosa Jr., 35, of Snyder, was indicted for the Nov. 28, 2015 offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a state-jail felony. Bond was set at $5,000.
Ryle Nathaniel Vaughan, 18, of Snyder, was indicted for the Oct. 21, 2015 offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a state-jail felony. Bond was set at $5,000.
Crystal Sha Brown, 26, of Snyder, was indicted for the Jan. 13 offense of endangering a child, a state-jail felony. According to the indictment, Brown allowed methamphetamine to be accessible to a child younger than 15 years of age. Bond was set at $5,000.
Ashley Marie Elizondo, 20, of Snyder, was indicted for the March 9 offense of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a state-jail felony. According to the indictment, Elizondo intentionally or knowingly operated an automobile without the consent of the owner. Bond was set at $5,000.
Demetra Ann Cobb, 53, of Snyder, was indicted for the Dec. 9, 2015 offense of theft, a state-jail felony, for stealing a laptop computer. The grand jury learned that Cobb has two previous theft convictions, in 1998 and 2010, both in Scurry County.  Bond was set at $5,000.
