Ira Water Supply issues boil notice for some 30 customers

Ira Water Supply Corp. (IWSC) customers living east of the water storage facility on FM 1606 have been placed on a boil-water notice, company officials said today.

IWSC President Darryl Calley said a water line break east of Ira caused water pressure levels to drop below acceptable levels, necessitating the boil-water notice. The notice affects approximately 30 customers living east of Ira and in the Dunn community

The notice will remain in effect until water samples pass Texas Commission on Environmental Quality testing. Calley said he hoped to have water service restored by the end of today
