Ira Water Supply Corp.’s boil-water notice for customers living east of the water storage facility on FM 1606 will continue through the weekend, officials said.
IWSC President Darryl Calley said a water line break east of Ira caused water pressure levels to drop below acceptable levels on Thursday, necessitating the boil-water notice. The notice affects approximately 30 customers living near the Dunn community.
Calley said Friday that the line break had been repaired, but the boil water notice will remain in effect until samples are tested by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality early next week.
